An Historic (though short) Voyage
Next came a trip on the CCT's popular Trip Boat Perseverance.
The lock descent took three minutes during which Land & Water's Chris Spencer explained the intricacies of lime mortar application.
He was also able to inform the Princess of a previous royal visit made by King George III in 1788.

Practice & perseverance makes perfect
Much practice & rehearsal resulted in some expert boat handling by the Perseverance crew.
This placed her Royal Highness in a perfect position to cut the green ribbon that signified the first water borne transit through Stroud Brewery Bridge.

Posy Presentation
The day was also rather special for a little lady-in-waiting named Laura.
Her patience was rewarded when she was on hand to present a posy to
Her Royal Highness.
